Master's Message January 2008

Brothers

master.jpgI want to offer you my best wishes for a healthy and prosperous New Year.

We have a lot of work to do in the coming year and I am looking forward to accomplishing great things with all of your help and support.  My heart felt thanks to WB Dennis Corsalini for his leadership as Master over the past two years.

During his tenure Temple Lodge has seen a great increase in membership and renewed interest on the part of the community.  It will be an honor for me to serve the lodge over the coming year and keep that momentum going.
As you may know, we have a number of challenges facing us.

Our physical plant is in need of some major repair and there are certain spaces in the lodge that need some basic cleaning and organization to make better use of the space we have.  We have some very talented and eager brothers in lodge and it is my hope that some of the work could be done by the membership.  We have been blessed with a wonderful building and it is up to all of us to make sure it is there for the next generation of brothers that come after us.

I will be proposing a number of work days over the coming year to complete some of these projects and provide much needed maintenance.  Please take the opportunity to come out and volunteer.

We have some great events coming up, most notably our Burns Night Supper on Saturday February 2nd.  If you have not sent in your RSVP please contact Tony Foote ASAP, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  It promises to be one of the highlights of the year!

If you have an idea for an event that you think would be of interest to the brothers please let us know.

Degree work continues to be the cornerstone of the lodge, please let me or one of the officers know if you have an interest in participating. You will find the experience very rewarding.  Our lodge has a great reputation in our degree work.  To continue that tradition Brother Dinielli will be coordinating practices and spearheading lodge proficiency.

We have one of the strongest lodges in Connecticut, let’s all work to make sure it stays that way.

I look forward to seeing you all in Lodge.

Fraternally

W.'.M John Kahler
