Brethren, We ended the first half of the year on a high note with a very successful table lodge and summer picnic. In many ways, the month of June represents the parts of masonry that I would like all of our brothers to carry with them this summer.
We had lots of brothers come together to help make the table lodge the success it was. I would like the members of our lodge to look out into the community and do the same thing. While I know many of you are already involved, for many others, just remember how much fun it was to help, how little time was actually required, and how much the help was appreciated. If each of us can find something to do for our community during the next two months, the lodge, as a whole, will have made a real difference.
We also had someone demonstrate the length of his cabletoe, and push himself to the limit. Please remember that we need to always remain observant, and always remain willing to lend a hand. In the next two months, let's all remember to do the little things our fathers taught us, that gentlemen do open doors for ladies and children, give up your seats for those who need it more on public transportations, and always be willing to lend a hand to help.
Finally, let's remember that we have some young Masonic Brethren who are going to need some instruction this summer to meet their proficiency. Our obligation to instruct our less learned brethren doesn't go dim along with the lodge.
By the end of the summer, I would like to see all of the member's of Temple 65 living lives the others wish they could, not because of the status they enjoy, but because of the humanity they display and because of the rectitude of character others want to emulate. If we simply remember the lessons we have learned as masons, and try each day to apply them to our lives, we will become those men others look up to. I cannot wait to see what we have done this summer. Get to work, and have fun!
Fraternally, Wilson Dinielli Worshipful Master
