Masters Message January 2010
junior_warden

Brethren,

Let me begin by wishing you all a Happy New Year. We enter this new decade with great expectations for Tempe Lodge #65, and Masonry in general. We should be proud of our accomplishments and look forward to the opportunities that lie before us.

I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for having the condence and trust in me and for selecting me as your Master for the ensuing year. I promise you, I will do the best to make this a memorable year.

I will endeavor to be fair and forthright in all my undertakings. I have already provided a calendar of events for the entire year so that there will be no misunderstandings as to when events will be taking place. I will forward an electronic copy of that Calendar and we will have monthly excerpts in the TB.

I have planned a year that will prove to be enlightening, entertaining and uplifting. We will work hard, but we will have fun. We will be procient when we need to be, but we will be Brotherly always. We can accomplish much, but it will entail your cooperation and support. I encourage all of you to read the Trestle Board and become familiar with all activities for the year. My hope is that there will always be something that will interest someone.  That interest should encourage more participation and greater attendance at meetings and events. Each month we will have a different theme and an educational lecture. At our monthly communications, we will have talks on Masonic history, ritual work, famous Masons, the Masonic importance in architecture, the various Masonic bodies one can belong to and even self improvement. If there are areas that i have missed and you are interested in learning more let me know.

We can all learn more about Masonry, ouselves, and our Brothers and I know of no better time than now.

I will be forming a number of committees and will be seeking Brothers to particpate. If you are interested in a committee let me know. I will be announcing the formation of a number of those  ommittees in the next month.

I will always try to do my best to lead us in the right direction, but no person can be a good leader if no one is following. That part is up to you.

Finally, to my line of officers; my congratulations and best wishes for the upcoming year. I know you will all perform admirably.

So let us begin,

RR
